Learning in the environment that you will work in gives you an advantage when you start your new career. Students are so prepared at Charlotte Dental Assistant School that many find jobs prior to even graduating!
Dental Assistant Externship
Charlotte Dental Assistant School 40-hour externship program provides our students with the real-world experience they need to become confident and qualified dental assistants. The externship portion of our course allows our students the opportunity to work under the direct guidance of experienced dental professionals in a local dental office. Students at Charlotte Dental Assistant School are eligible to begin their externships after class 3. Although we encourage our students to find their own externships, our Student Success Specialists are here to help our students identify potential opportunities in the area and assist with applications.
What Do I Get After Graduation?
Charlotte Dental Assistant School is licensed and regulated by the North Carolina State Board of Community Colleges, so you will receive your BLS certification and a Certificate of Completion to be a Dental Assistant I. While North Carolina does not have a state exam to be a dental assistant, dental assistants must take a NC Board of Dental Examiners approved course and pass its final examination to be able to perform radiography. Our course meets this requirement.
